We are not a luxury hotel and we have never tried to be. We are a simple, affordable, peaceful place to sleep, and some of the cheapest rooms in Mtubatuba, Hlabisa and KwaMsane. Your car in the yard, hot water in the morning. Every room and every bathroom, photographed as it is. Look before you book.

- There is a KFC and a Spar in town. At Hlabisa the Spar opens at eight.

- We are an affordable, quiet place to sleep in a good spot in town. Look at the rooms and you will know exactly what you are booking.
The story.
A truck driver who wanted somewhere for people to sleep.
He built Hlabisa first, and it took him years. Then Green Tree, where he turned his own house into the most affordable good bed in town. KwaMsane followed, then Mtubatuba. Richards Bay is next.

Weeknights are when we have the room. Send the headcount and the dates and we hold the block, one house or two, whatever fits. Own bathroom in every room, every yard takes the vehicles, and the pro-forma comes with a reference your office can file.

The oldest proclaimed reserve in Africa, and the reason there is still a white rhino anywhere. Memorial Gate is on the Hlabisa road, so from that house you are at the gate for the morning drive without leaving at four.

Booking and paying.
You have not stayed here before and you are about to send money to people you have never met. Here is every part of that, in the order it happens.
You pay half
Half the price holds the room. Card, EFT, or cash when you get here. The rest on arrival.
Or you pay nothing yet
Ask us to hold it and the room is yours for 48 hours. No card, no deposit. After that it goes back on sale.
In from 14:00, out by 10:00
Arriving late is fine. Tell us roughly when and somebody will be at reception.
Plans change
Cancel a day or more ahead and the deposit is yours as credit for six months, or back in your account less 10%.
Our banking details never change by message. If a new account number reaches you claiming to be us, it is not us. Phone +27 63 644 4444, speak to a person, and confirm the account before you send anything.
